The last of the six “Batyr” tugs successfully arrived in Kazakhstan!

The program for the construction of six ASD tugs under a contract signed in June 2017 between Caspian Offshore Construction LLP and De Hoop Lobith Shipyard, was successfully completed in record-breaking time.

The tug Otegen Batyr, was the last in a series of six tugs, arriving in Kazakhstan to the place of its permanent deployment on July 9, 2018.

All six tugs, are named in honor of Kazakh Batyrs, independently made ocean passages from the port of Rotterdam to the port of Bautino. Thus, each vessel has overcome more than 4000 nautical miles (7400 km).

We are proud to say that for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan's maritime industry, the safe passage of one of the newly-built ships from the port of Rotterdam to the port of Bautino, namely the tugboat Karasay Batyr, was carried out by a Captain and crew fully manned by Kazakhstan-sailors!

To date, all six vessels: Kabanbay Batyr, Karasay Batyr, Bogenbay Batyr, Nauryzbay Batyr, Raiymbek Batyr and Otegen Batyr have arrived in Kazakhstan and started work.

We wish all the crews of the fleet of "Caspian Offshore Construction" LLP blue skies and calm seas!
